Living in Groningen

Groningen has over 200,000 inhabitants: townies and friends of the people from its surrounding area. The university is a biotope in this agricultural province. But its surroundings are also more than worthwhile to cycle through to Doodstil, Sint-Annen, or to Usquert with its town hall by the architect Berlage. Back in town, the theatre is well worth a visit. Or how about the Groninger Museum, a real eye-catcher right next to the station?

The distinguished Haren rivals Wassenaar, but otherwise Groningen is just a nice province with good access for cars, trains and air traffic and affordable housing.
