Mohamed Abdelaziz

Mohamed was born and raised in Amsterdam-West, where he still lives today. He studies Dutch Law and Tax Law at the University of Amsterdam, alongside Dutch Language and Culture. His path there wasn’t straightforward: he worked his way up through vocational and applied sciences education before making it to university. After completing his bachelor’s degree, he plans to pursue a master’s in Corporate Law, with a long-term ambition to become a judge.

Mohamed found Viisi through a job listing on Magnet.me. He had actually come across it a year earlier, but was in the middle of finishing his applied sciences degree. When the listing appeared again, he decided to go for it. After the trial day, his mind was quickly made up. He didn’t have much prior knowledge of the mortgage industry, but thanks to a minor in investing and sustainability and an earlier internship at a real estate firm, the world of finance wasn’t entirely new to him.

Outside of studying and work, Mohamed is active in several student associations, sometimes on the board, sometimes on a committee, sometimes just as a regular member. He enjoys staying active, with squash being one of his favorite sports. Mohamed is also an avid reader and has set himself a goal of finishing 20 books this year.
