Liam Goede
Liam grew up in Amsterdam-Zuidoost and now lives in Amsterdam-West. He studied commercial economics and went on to earn a master’s degree in marketing — fields that came naturally to him and were broad enough to help him figure out what he’s passionate about. During and after his studies, he worked at a company that sells savings campaigns to supermarkets across Europe. As a loyalty consultant, he was responsible for markets including Denmark, the Baltic states, and Central and Eastern Europe. You’ve probably seen some of those campaigns yourself: the miniature collectibles at Albert Heijn, the Eredivisie soccer sticker albums at Plus, and the mini fruit-and-vegetable plush toys at Lidl.
Liam found his way to Viisi through LinkedIn, where we reached out to him. What immediately caught his attention was the opportunity to earn his Wft certifications here, something he’d been wanting to do for a while, partly because he has family working in financial services. The job shadow day in particular made him realize that Viisi was the perfect fit.
Outside of work, Liam loves spending time with friends and family, and in the summer, you’ll find him at festivals — preferably outdoors and close to home. Musically, his personal taste runs toward classic rock from the seventies, eighties, and nineties. “Bands like The Scorpions and Heart. At a festival, I’m fine with hip-hop or house too, but I’m not putting that on first thing in the morning.”
His most memorable trip was a journey through seven cities in China with his mother, sister, and aunt. This summer, he’s heading to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan for three weeks, all self-planned, no guide.
