Iwan Kalisvaart
Iwan was born and raised in Lelystad, where he still lives, though Amsterdam is calling as a future home. He’s in no rush to move for now, but with his studies and work, he already spends much time in the capital. He is studying political science at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and is particularly fascinated by the intersection of politics and finance. In the future, he envisions himself taking on consulting roles and further exploring the mortgage industry. He also has a strong desire to help people dealing with trauma in some way.
Outside his studies and work at Viisi, Iwan is active in the hospitality industry. He works as a host at ‘Aan ut Water’ in Lelystad and enjoys the social aspect of the job. Maybe one day, he’ll even open his place!
He found his way to Viisi through Magnet.me, where Esmee sent him a message. After an initial interview and a trial day, things moved quickly—his first days were packed with new information, but he immediately loved it.
Iwan has many hobbies and finds it challenging to sit still. He has a close-knit group of friends in Lelystad, many of whom he knows through school and parties. He also spends a lot of time on the padel court, the golf course, or the gym, where he aims to train at least five times a week. Festivals are a must, and he’s a big house and techno fan. In addition to sports and going out, he enjoys deep conversations with friends and sets personal goals every year.
With his energetic and ambitious mindset, Iwan is a perfect fit for the Viisi team.
