How Viisi handles personal data

Personal data we process
Viisi N.V. processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide them to us yourself.
We process the following types of personal data:
- First and last name
- Gender
- Date of birth
- Place of birth
- Address details
- Phone number
- Email address
- Bank account number
- Citizen service number (BSN)
- Other personal data you actively provide, for instance through forms on our website, correspondence, or phone calls
- Information about your activities on our website
Special and/or sensitive personal data
Our website and/or services do not intend to collect data about visitors under the age of 16, unless they have parental or guardian consent. However, we cannot verify a visitor’s age. We therefore recommend that parents remain involved in their children’s online activities to prevent unauthorized data collection.
If you believe we have collected personal data about a minor without permission, please get in touch with us at [email protected]. We will delete this information.
Purpose and legal basis for processing
Viisi N.V. processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- To contact you by phone or email when necessary for our services
- To inform you about changes to our services and products
- To deliver our services to you
- To process your payment
- To send newsletters or marketing-related information
- To comply with legal obligations, such as those related to mortgage advice or tax filings
Automated decision-making
Viisi N.V. does not make decisions based solely on automated processing that could have significant effects on individuals. This includes decisions made by computer programs or systems without human involvement.
Retention of personal data
Viisi N.V. does not retain your personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. We determine retention periods based on the type and purpose of the data, and only store data as long as required to identify you as a data subject.
Sharing personal data with third parties
Viisi N.V. shares your personal data with third parties only when necessary to execute our agreement, such as banks, lenders, insurers, or other parties involved in obtaining a mortgage. We also share data to comply with legal obligations.
Where applicable, we conclude data processing agreements with our partners to ensure the same level of data protection and confidentiality. Viisi N.V. remains responsible for these processing activities.
Cookies and similar technologies
Viisi N.V. uses only technical, functional, and analytical cookies that do not infringe on your privacy. You are notified of this through a cookie notice on our website.
Cookies are small text files stored on your computer, tablet, or smartphone when you first visit our site. They are essential for technical performance and usability. You can disable cookies through your browser settings and delete previously stored cookies at any time.
Access, correction, or deletion of your data
Under Article 17 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to be forgotten. Upon your request via [email protected], we will delete your data unless you still have an active (financial) product under management with us.
We retain this data for 1 year after your product is transferred to another provider. If you have received financial advice under the Dutch Financial Supervision Act (Wft), deletion is only possible after signing a waiver releasing Viisi from liability.
You also have the right to access, correct, or transfer your data, as well as withdraw consent or object to processing.
Requests can be sent to [email protected]. We respond as soon as possible, within 4 weeks. If you have complaints about how we handle your data, you may contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Data security
Viisi N.V. takes data protection seriously and implements appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, or disclosure.
Every Viisionair is required to take the Financial Sector Oath or Promise, provide a Certificate of Conduct (VOG), and receive extensive training on data protection in accordance with AFM guidelines.
We regularly undergo external audits that include assessments of data processing. Our CRM system is Eblinqx by Faster Forward, hosted by Solvinity in the Netherlands. Both parties hold certifications, including:
- ISAE3402/SOC2
- ISO/IEC27001
- NEN7510 (healthcare data)
- ISO14001:2004
Data is securely stored and regularly tested through PEN testing. Solvinity is certified by the Dutch Central Bank (DNB) and complies with all relevant standards.
Faster Forward also applies Role-Based Access Control, employee screening (including VOG), and strict access policies. Uploaded documents may be shared securely with lenders via HDN, the Dutch standard for mortgage data exchange.

Recording of conversations
We record all video and telephone conversations to:
- ensure accurate documentation of our advice and follow-up, and
- improve our services through internal training and quality control.
Use of recordings
Recordings are used internally for case processing, quality checks, and staff training.
We store them only as long as necessary, in line with legal obligations and our privacy policy.
Right of access and copy
You have the right to access a copy of your recording (audio, video, or transcript). We may:
- ask for identification,
- redact third-party data, and
- deliver the copy securely (e.g., via protected download link).
Recordings are never shared with third parties unless:
- you have given explicit consent,
- required by law, or
- shared with trusted processors (e.g., IT providers) under confidentiality and security terms.
